Heart has been delivering training and mentoring provisions since last year and we have recently conducted an interim evaluation on them. The feedback from young people and school staff who are involved has been overwhelmingly positive.

On the basis of interviews we have carried out, our faciliators and mentors are seen as a key asset, engaging particularly well with young people due to their age, similar background and life experience to those they are working with. Increased confidence and aspiration has been identified as one of the most important impacts of the HEART programme. Overall, the message has been that HEART is offering something unique which seems to be making a difference for young people.

The HEART website launched last year and has supported many young people from across London to access local support services. We have now created Twitter and Facebook accounts to more actively engage with young people and partnerships.
